Real Wedding: Rachel & Max were married on Sunday, August 17, 2014, at the Fox Hollow in Westbury, NY.
A matching map served as the envelope liner. Paper Presentations pre-addressed all of them making the task of sending out the invites so much easier.
Summer weddings are so fantastic. You can do so much with flowers, the gown and the theme. Max & Rachel love to travel, so they decided on the perfect theme for their event, a travel themed wedding. Here are a few details from their wedding that made it unique and truly special to this happy couple as well as their friends and family.
Finding the ideal invitation meant designing it them themselves. They used Paper Presentations in NYC to make their ideas come to life. (BTW, I love them! ) You can order any invitation you see in a magazine or have them design wedding stationary of any kind. Max & Rachel found a map of the world which served as the perfect back drop to their romantic wedding invitation.
Every wedding day begins with some preparations. Rachel got ready at the Fox Hollow Inn, right next door to the ceremony and reception venue. She had an amazing beauty team travel to her. As you can clearly see from this gorgeous morning photo, they did a spectacular job. (Props to Erica and Lavonne on a job well done! As usual, you ladies rocked! Scroll down to get their contact info.)
Rachel wore an Enzoani wedding gown which she found at a lovely bridal shop in Great Neck called Forever Together. This a-line lace gown was romantic and whimsical. The perfect gown for her outdoor garden ceremony. She wore this amazing La Sposa veil which was lace and ivory at a cathedral length. It gave the perfect finishing touches to her wedding gown.
The Fox Hollow boasts an amazing ceremony space which includes luscious greenery and a beautiful waterfall. This impeccable arch formed the back drop for Rachel & Max to say, "I do".
The lovely wedding party wore beautiful summer colors. Her maids wore dresses from the
After Six Bridal collection in coral purchased from Adrianne's Bridal Salon. Max and his groomsmen wore tan colored suits rented from the Men's Warehouse. And those amazing ties came from The Tie Bar.
The Fox Hollow hosted an amazing wedding. The property was enchanting. The food was delicious. And Michael Tinelli and his staff were attentive and delightful.
The travel themed wedding allowed for some charming personalized touches. An engraved luggage tag that read, "Let the Adventure Begin" was placed at each setting.
The theme was carried through to these lovely table numbers. The couple printed maps, purchased frames, then glued on house numbers (like the ones sold at Home Depot) and created this beautiful table setting.
Guests were invited to write their well wishes on this globe that Max & Rachel will keep for years to come. This was a lovely alternative to a traditional guest book.
This adorable vintage luggage case served as a card box.
These beautiful, tall branches created by Pedestals decorated the dinner tables. These amazing floral designs brought the outdoors inside in a magical way. Hanging candles and white dendrobes decorated the branches; coral and orange roses and white hydrangeas were all used to make these gorgeous arrangements.
Photo booths make for great wedding fun. Rachel & Max personalized theirs with a vintage stamp outline and a few extra props like a flight attendant hat. Ovation did a great job getting everyone inside that booth, from the bride & groom......to all the bride's closest friends.
The music and lighting was the work of Seward Park Tech. They did an incredible job making the room look warm and inviting for dinner and then fun and exciting for dancing. (I wish I had a photo of the dancing. ) They are such a great group of guys. They delivered the perfect dance mix and the best MC'ing. I highly recommend them!
I would be remiss not to mention the amazing photographer and videographer who worked this wedding. (They are linked below so go check them out!) They were creative and energetic. I can't wait to see their work and hopefully post it on the website soon.
And finally, my favorite part, the cake cutting....Rachel and Max used the "house baker" Francesco's Bakery.
....and finally, the sweetest kiss (the one with cake lips).
Congratulations to Max & Rachel on hosting a wonderful evening full of love and laughter. It was truly a....
