I found a new hashtag that I am excited to use, #meetmemonday. Have you heard of it? I thought it was such a cute idea, so here goes.
Hello! My name is Cynthia. I am the founder and chief planner of Cynthia Holt Events. I am a wife of 17 years and a mom of two boys, ages 11 and 13. I love Disney, football, and ballet, almost equally. I enjoy cooking, but not as much as I enjoy eating delicious foods. But, does that matter to you if you are a bride shopping for a wedding planner? Probably not, I know. That's actually not what I want to focus on. What I really want to do is introduce my brand. And since I am the face of my business, it's sort of the same thing. Well, at least that's what I am learning. So read on so you can see what I mean.
When my logo was being designed, the graphic artist I was using asked me to send her my favorite photos on Pinterest; photos that represented what I loved and what I thought reflected my personality. I thought it was a funny approach to the task, but when I saw the results I understood. The company logo doesn't just represent my brand; it is me. The curvy nature of my initials represent all the things that I love that are pretty and girly like lace and bright flowers. The bold font in the company name suggests the strength and organization that I bring to the table. It's me.
The logo hasn't changed but I have made some changes lately to my brand and my website and that's what I am excited to share with you. I have reworked the site and changed the language to reflect my personality and my vision more closely. The pictures are bigger and brighter and reflect the weddings I am most proud of. My goal is for couples to see me and my brand as I really am. I want to connect with them (with you the bride & groom!) from the first click.
Here are a few ways I have tried to do this. First off, my About page is not only about my business but it's about me. I have also added a Question and Answer page so that couples can get to know me and understand how I do the job. Hopefully couples will hear what I am trying to say, which is this...
I am good at what I do and I absolutely love it.
That is what really matters on the day of your wedding. I will be smiling the whole day. No matter how long the day goes, I will always do the job happily with a smile on my face. (It's true, check the praise tab in my website.) What makes me different from other planners and coordinators is the attention that I give all my couples. I am committed to my couples and their wedding.
The other decision I have recently made is to focus on wedding coordination, only working with one couple at a time. Working with creative and sophisticated brides, who value organization and want to enjoy the wedding instead of worrying about the to-do list, are my target audience. As I explain on the service page, "I pick up where you leave off." There are several packages to choose from.
Here's a preview of the home page:
Cynthia Holt Events specializes in Wedding Day Coordination, often called "Day-of Coordination". We focus exclusively on this service because we realize that New York City is filled with brides who want to plan their own wedding. But come wedding day, they are ready to turn the reins over to someone else. If you are that bride, then we are the wedding service you are looking for. Whether you are getting married in a modern loft in Manhattan, a chic, raw space in Brooklyn, a romantic vineyard on Long Island, or a private mansion in the Hamptons, we realize that you want to be present and enjoy every minute of your wedding day. And that's where Cynthia Holt Events comes in, exactly where you left off. We want to take care of all the details and the to-do list so that you can thoroughly soak up every minute of your big day. You get to focus on getting married while your family and friends enjoy being your guests. We will take care of all the rest.
Check out the website and give me your feedback. Does it speak to you?
